JOSH MCALLISTER PERFORMANCE CONSULTING
Josh McAllister has over 10 years of combined experience in every level of soccer in the United States as a performance coach. He has worked for three Major League Soccer Clubs, one United Soccer League Club, a Division 1 Men's Soccer program, and the United States U16 and U19 boys’ national teams. He has had the opportunity to work under some of the top performance coaches in the country.
For the past two years, Josh oversaw the Minnesota United FC performance programs as the Director of Performance. During this time Josh was responsible for developing individual strength and conditioning programs, managing training periodization, implementing player recovery protocols, managing multiple player monitoring systems, and running speed, power and agility focused sessions. By managing these components Josh’s goals were to increase player performance and minimize the likelihood of injury.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Josh graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Coaching. He also obtained a United States Soccer Federation “B” coaching license.

SKILLS AND SERVICES
Training periodization. Implementation of micro, meso, and macro training cycles to improve performance while minimizing injury occurrence
Implement daily, weekly, and season long performance best practices. Including pre training, in training, and post training protocols/sessions.
Implement sports science best practices (monitoring, data collection, reporting). Including external and internal monitoring systems, gym based monitoring, and implementation of a database.
Manage sports science data and reporting. By making data actionable we can enhancing the training process while improving player health.
Design individualized gym/field sessions. Individualized programming to address player strengths and weaknesses.
Recovery protocols. Implementing a series of modalities to improve the recovery process.
Off season programming. Programming of an off season training program to ensure each player begins preseason in the optimal condition.
On site preseason to assist in implementation of practices. In person education and leadership in implementing each facet of the performance program.
